Port Vale receive injury boost ahead of Hartlepool game
Port Vale assistant manager Andy Crosby says that wideman David Worrall is “absolutely fine” and set to play in Friday’s game against Hartlepool United.
Worrall departed the win over Oldham Athletic early in the first-half sparking fears that he may be ruled out for a period of time.
However, Crosby told the media: “Dave Worrall’s hip is absolutely fine. He was due an injection on Monday so that came at a really good time.”
The news is a boost for the Valiants as Worrall’s absence would have left them with a quandary on the right. James Gibbons is still some time from being matchfit while the only other natural option would be rookie Sam Robinson who has only had a few minutes of first-team action since joining the club in the January transfer window.
