Brilliant – matchwinner Harry Charsley pays tribute to travelling Vale fans
Matchwinner Harry Charsley said the away contingent at Salford was “brilliant” and “kept the team going” as they recorded a memorable 1-0 win on Tuesday evening.
Charsley opened his account for the club with a second-half strike which settled the game. There were 1,220 Vale fans watching out of an overall attendance of 2,449.

The midfielder told the media: “Yeah, especially in front of travelling fans, they were brilliant tonight.
“They deserve a mention, they kept us going especially towards the end.
“They were excellent tonight, probably louder than the home fans. An excellent performance from them.”
Charsley said he is enjoying his spell in the team adding: “It’s brilliant. the lads is fantastic. The attitude from everyone is brilliant.”
