Port Vale confirm departure of fourth player during January window
Port Vale have announced that midfielder Scott Burgess has departed the club by mutual consent.
Burgess joins Leon Legge, Danny Amos and Danny Whitehead in leaving the club during the window.
A club statement said:
Port Vale Football Club can confirm that Scott Burgess has had his contract terminated by mutual consent.
The 24-year old joined the Valiants in 2019 and would go on to make 62 apperances in all competitions for the club.
Scott was voted as our Young Player of the Year in the 2019/20 season, his debut season for the Valiants.
We would like to thank Scott for his time spent at Vale Park and would like to wish him the best of luck for the future.

I was really disappointed with the teams setup today ,Swindon proper bossed us about and because of our setup they looked like a premier league side to us ,we had 33% posetion at home which isn’t acceptable, can someone please tell daryl that I arnt a manager and even I could see 15 mins into the 1st half the way the game was going ,so he should have changed the shape
