Could be two signings – Port Vale say January additions may arrive this week
Port Vale have said that they are targeting three additions to their squad and two signings could join the club ahead of Saturday’s game with Scunthorpe United.
According to Director of Football David Flitcroft, the club are looking to add a forward, a midfielder and a goalkeeper to their squad.
The keeper would cover Lucas Covolan who is suspended, the midfielder would cover injured Jake Taylor while the forward would replace the departed Dennis Politic.
Flitcroft told BBC Radio Stoke: “We have been working behind the scenes. Over the next 48 hours there could be two signings coming in.
“We have an injury to Jake Taylor that we are probably going to have to cover off. We have lost Dennis Politic.
“After the game where Lucas (Covolan) got sent off, we switched our thinking and started looking at the market and seeing at what we could potentially could get in.
“That is something that is ongoing as we speak. There are still four days left before the window shuts and it is really important that we cover off as many eventualities as possible.”

Think we need to keep Rodney as we hardley have any strikers that’s are fit ( apart from the two you lads ) and Wilson & amooooooooo are still gaining match fitness, so with this guy coming from Ipswich bring your mate ( James Norwood) with you
