Port Vale coffers boosted by FA Cup second round win with tantalising chance of more to come
The Valiants banked £34,000 for their FA Cup second round win over Burton Albion, making it a lucrative season so far for the club.
The Valiants also received £20,000 for their first round win over Accrington, making it a total of £54,000 earned from their FA Cup run so far.
The club also received £30,000 from Sky television for their televised clash against Bradford City, while their Football League Trophy campaign earned the club a total £40,000. In contrast, the less well funded League Cup earned Vale £5,000 for their first round exit.
However, that £129,000 figure could be dwarfed if the Valiants get lucky in Monday night’s FA Cup third round draw. The right fixture could result in a bumper attendance and potentially a huge revenue boost for the club.
