Former Valiants: Bradford City sign Theo Robinson
Bradford City have confirmed the signing of striker Theo Robinson after the player ended his Port Vale contract by mutual consent on Tuesday.
Robinson had been on the transfer list this season after not being part of Darrell Clarke’s plans. His exit by mutual consent was confirmed by Port Vale before a move to Bradford City was announced.
A club statement said:
Bradford City AFC is delighted to announce the deadline-day signing of striker Theo Robinson.
The experienced frontman arrives at the Utilita Energy Stadium on a deal until the end of the 2021/22 season, following the cancellation of his contract at Port Vale.
A former Jamaican international, Robinson graduated from Watford’s academy in 2006, before going on to achieve promotion from Sky Bet League Two with Hereford in 2008.
The 32-year-old has also turned out for the likes of Huddersfield Town, Derby County and Doncaster Rovers.
Robinson said: “I am really excited to be joining Bradford City, and look forward to the challenges ahead.
“I am a hard-working player who will give my all for the team. The manager has shown great faith in me, so it is now up to me to repay him with performances on the pitch.
“I will thrive in front of a large crowd, so cannot wait to perform in front of a full Valley Parade. This club belongs in a higher division, and I want to be a part of the journey going forward.”
