Port Vale Football Club is delighted to confirm Cheltenham Town forward George Lloyd has agreed to sign for the Valiants on a season long loan.
Lloyd arrives at Vale Park having made a big name for himself at parent club Cheltenham Town and has already amassed 81 appearances at 21 years of age.
The forward joined the Robins when he was nine years old and has climbed through the ranks at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium, making his debut at the age of 17 in August 2017 against the Swansea City under-23’s in the EFL Trophy and signed his professional contract in December of that year.
Darrell Clarke said: “I’d like to thank Michael Duff at Cheltenham for sending us George on loan for the season.
“He’s a striker that epitomises what I want in my centre-forwards, he works hard, he’s a grafter and at 21 years old he’s already played plenty of games and I look forward to him adding further competition to our front line.”
