A club statement said:
Port Vale Football Club is delighted to confirm Bolton Wanderers midfielder Dennis Politic has agreed to sign for the Valiants on a season long loan.
Politic joins the Vale on loan from the Wanderers having already made a big impact at the University of Bolton Stadium in his break out season in 2019.
The 21-year-old joined Bolton at Under-15 level and progressed through the academy setup at Lostock, helping their under-23 side win the Professional Development League in 2018, netting the goal that secured the trophy.
The following season, the Romanian went on loan to Salford City, where he made 11 appearances, scoring twice, including a halfway line strike against Dover Athletic, helping the Ammies secure promotion to League Two.
His successful loan saw him become a key player for Bolton in the 2019/20 season, featuring 30 times across all competitions and finding the net five times.
An injury the following pre-season saw the Romanian youth international, labelled by manager Ian Evatt as “a precious asset”, miss the entire 2020/21 campaign, but his previous performances caught the eye of Darrell Clarke who is delighted to be able to bring Politic in.
Clarke said: “I’ve been after an aggressive wide player who’s a very good ball carrier.
“In an ideal world I’d have gotten a left-footed one but, having watched Dennis and seen when he became available, he fits the criteria massively.
“He’s very aggressive with his ball running and I’m sure he’ll be a very useful addition to the squad.”

According to my 2021/22 Football Yearbook there is no professional league footballer named Politic
Players registered with Bolton do not include this player.
Perhaps it’s because he was injured for the whole of last season?
