Transfer-listed Port Vale players training separately
Port Vale manager Darrell Clarke has confirmed that the club’s three transfer-listed players are not featuring in first-team training.
Scott Burgess, Danny Whitehead and Theo Robinson are all under contract but were told during the summer that they were being placed on the transfer list.
It is important they do that right, and they are good pros so they will do that. But it is important for me as a manager that I am solely focusing on our new group…
Clarke confirmed the trio are not involved in training sessions telling the media: “They are not part of my first-team group. They are three great lads, but I have made the decision that there is no future here (for them), and it is in their best interests that they get themselves as fit as possible working with two fantastic coaches in Billy Paynter and Griff (Anthony Griffith).
“It is important they do that right, and they are good pros so they will do that. But it is important for me as a manager that I am solely focusing on our new group.”

Same old arrogant Darryl Clarke, who signed an absolute load of **** for walsall, signed players that never even pulled on the shirt!!! Doesn’t tell the fans when players are due back from injury or build relations! Will soon get found out by the Vale fans! Lives off his Bristol Rovers promotion out of non league! Not a single Walsall fan that wasn’t glad to see the back of the clown
