Hold our nerve – Darrell Clarke won’t rush final Port Vale transfers
Port Vale manager Darrell Clarke says he wants to add two more players to his squad – but he won’t be rushed.
Speaking to the Sentinel newspaper, Clarke says he plans to add a left winger and a striker to his squad by the end of August.
Sometimes you wait longer and have a little bit of patience…
He commented: “There will be two players coming in by the end of August, that is for sure. By the end of the window, August 31. But I am not going out there panicking thinking I need this and this.
“Sometimes you wait longer and have a little bit of patience. We may have a look at a loan move.
“So, we will hold our nerve on that because I have been happy with the 21 so far.
“It is the forward area I will be looking to build on. I would like a left-footed winger and a centre forward.”
