Port Vale manager John Askey was delighted to see midfielder Manny Oyeleke return to first-team action on Tuesday night.

The 27 year-old impressed in a midfield holding role and manager John Askey told the Sentinel newspaper: “Considering the amount of time he has been out, I think he was excellent.
“That is why it was important at half-time to get him off. The last thing we want him to do is come out in the second half being tired and not used to playing, and pull up again, so hopefully we can keep him fit.”
