Tweets show more improvements to the Vale Park stadium
A number of tweets by Port Vale Director of Communications Martin Tideswell have shown how the club has made more improvements to the Vale Park stadium.
There have been a number of vintage Port Vale images placed around the club shop although the recent high winds have prevented all of the signage being put in place.
The signage includes images of Port Vale legends such as Robbie Earle, Neil Aspin, John Rudge and Bob Newton plus celebrity fan Robbie Williams. Many of the press images will be familiar to Port Vale fans as they show some of the more memorable moments in recent seasons.
The tweets from @MartinTideswell show some of these vintage Port Vale shots in situ:

The signs show the huge improvements to Vale Park which are being undertaken by the current owners. In recent months, the club completed the seating in the Lorne Street stand while several other stands at the stadium have also had seats replaced and had their exteriors spruced up.
The work is in marked contrast to previous seasons when the seventy year old football stadium had started to look its age. Unfortunately, current regulations mean Vale fans will need to wait until crowds are allowed back at games before they can see all the improvements that have been made.
Other stadium improvements
Earlier this month, the OVF website showed the results of other summer efforts by the Port Vale volunteers group as they tidied up the stadium. You can see some before and after photos of their work all around the ground through this link
