Port Vale defeat League One Fleetwood in second friendly game
Port Vale bounced back from their defeat against Blackpool to secure victory over Fleetwood Town thanks to goals from Tom Conlon and Rhys Browne.
Midfielder Conlon opened the scoring on 10 minutes before the home side equalised twenty minutes. Summer signing Devante Rodney had a goal disallowed for offside before Browne put the Valiant back in front. The winger, who has enjoyed a good pre-season, was brought down in the box and stepped up to fire home the resulting penalty kick.
There were a host of Vale changes at the break including the introduction of three trialist but there were no further goals as it ended 2-1 to the Valiants.
