Port Vale confirm 1,150 season tickets have already been sold for next season
In a show of faith in the club’s owners, Port Vale FC have confirmed that 25% of last season’s season ticket tally have been sold despite the current uncertainty over the new season.
After this season was cancelled, there is still uncertainty over the forthcoming season and whether games will need to be played behind closed doors. However, despite the doubts, it is clear that Vale fans are backing Carol and Kevin Shanahan.
The club have undergone a transformation since being taken over by the Shanahans and this has even continued in the lockdown period with the Port Vale foundation delivering tens of thousands of meals. Seats have also been added to the Lorne Street stand for the start of the season while the club have also engaged in a number of other stadium improvements.
A statement on the official website added: “Over 1150 season tickets – 25% of our previous season’s total – have already been purchased. Thank you to all those supporters who have already committed to next season.
“It is for you, the fans, why we play this game. We are eagerly anticipating your return to Vale Park where a number of noticeable improvements have taken place during these months without football.”
The club have also extended their Early Bird Season Ticket option until 31st July 2020. Early Bird season ticket purchases can save fans up to £70.
