Nice if we could get them back – Port Vale boss confirms interest in former loan duo
Port Vale manager John Askey has told the Sentinel newspaper that he would be interested in having loan duo Mitch Clark and Jake Taylor in his squad next season.
Taylor and Clark have both returned to their parent clubs after succesful loan spells with the Valiants. Full-back Clark joined for a second loan spell while midfielder Taylor impressed enough that Vale made an unsuccessful permanent bid in January.
Askey told the newspaper: “It would be nice if we could get them back next season but, with them doing well for us, there might be clubs from higher leagues interested in them. If not then you would hope, of any of the clubs in League Two, they would come back to us.
“I think everybody can see they have good quality and fitted in well for the team as well.”
