Port Vale boosted as duo return to training
Port Vale could soon have a fully fit squad after the news that Manny Oyeleke and Adam Crookes have both returned to training.
The duo have been missing for some weeks and the Valiants will be careful not to rush them back into action.
The pair have been having rehabilitation at Burton’s St George’s Park over the last two weeks and are now fit enough to rejoin first-team training sessions.
Manager John Askey told a press conference: “”Injury wise, we are getting everybody back now fully fit. Manny and Crookesy are back with us for their first training session today.
“Then Crookesy will have a scan just to make sure everything is okay. Manny will have a scan on Monday just to check him out and make sure he is okay to start sprinting. So, injury wise everybody is fit.
“They will take a bit of time to get back because they need to start playing games in training first of all.”
Crookes was first choice left-back at the start of the season after joining from Nottingham Forest on a free transfer over the summer. Oyeleke has earned praise for his performances in central midfield which unfortunately have been disrupted by injury since he joined the Valiants.
