Port Vale to face Man City in the FA Cup third round
Port Vale will earn a huge payday and the chance of a massive giantkilling after being drawn away against Premier League giants Manchester City.
The lucrative draw is a reward of the Valiants defeating Cheltenham Town in round two on Saturday.
Vale last played City back in the 1999/2000 season when they lost both ties.
The two sides last met in the FA Cup in 1991 when it ended 2-1 to City in a televised fixture.
Vale’s last away win over City was back in 1996 when Martin Foyle’s goal earned John Rudge’s side a 1-0 win.
Port Vale president and club legend Rudge told the BBC: “What a challenge. It is fantastic. Great for the players and great for the crowd. We may have to park the bus a few times.”
