Port Vale reportedly table new bid for Jake Taylor
Port Vale have made an increased offer for loanee Jake Taylor, the Stoke Sentinel newspaper reports.
Taylor has been a success at Vale since he arrived at the start of the season. He has scored six times in twenty appearances and is a regular pick in the Valiants midfield.
We have made an offer to Forest which has been turned down. So, we are going to make another offer. We are doing our best to try to get him….
The Nottingham Forest midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and with little chance of making the Forest first-team, Vale are keen to add the youngster on a permanent basis.
Port Vale manager John Askey told the newspaper: “We have made an offer to Forest which has been turned down. So, we are going to make another offer. We are doing our best to try to get him. With the age he is and the way he has played then I think it is important.
“If they want silly money then you can’t do it but hopefully we can get something agreed with Forest and then agreed with Jake.”
