Injury list likely to dictate Port Vale’s squad for Trophy game at Macclesfield
Port Vale manager John Askey says that the club’s injuries will dictate the side he puts out for Tuesday’s game against Macclesfield Town in the Football League Trophy.
The Valiants are currently missing the likes of David Amoo, Rhys Browne, Jordan Archer, Tom Conlon, Callum Evans and Manny Oyeleke and are likely to make changes for the Trophy game.
So we have got one or two coming back now, we’ll just have to see how the walking wounded are, and go from there on Monday…
The likes of Kieran Kennedy, Scott Burgess and Scott Brisley may all come into contention.
Askey told the official Port Vale website: “Whether it’s because we’ve got more athletic players who are very pacey, or it’s something that we’re doing or not doing in training, it’s something we need look at because we can’t afford to keep having players out.
“We’ll have to have a look Monday, Manny’s going to be training Monday, David Amoo, Jordan Archer, although I think Jordan will be a little bit longer.
