Port Vale sign centre-half Shaun Brisley
Port Vale sign Shaun Brisley: the club have confirmed the signing of 29 year-old defender Shaun Brisley.
He will replace Connell Rawlinson who left to join Notts County and will compete with Leon Legge, Nathan Smith and Kieran Kennedy for a place in the defence. Brisley provides experienced cover at the back for the Valiants after playing over 350 senior games so far in his career.
Brisley has signed a one year deal with manager John Askey commenting: “Shaun’s had past experience, he’s played in the Championship, the first division and this level as well. He’s got experience so somebody like Shaun could be ideal for us, because if we brought in another young defender the back four could end up being too young. I feel as though we do need to make sure we’ve got enough from now until January.”
