Injured Port Vale winger David Worrall set to face Forest Green Rovers
Port Vale are confident that in-form forward David Worrall will be able to play against Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday evening despite suffering a broken nose.
The Valiants take on the West County side at Vale Park hoping to break a run of three successive draws in the League.
Fair play to him he didn’t want to come off that pitch no matter how many knocks he took. So, if we have eleven like that we have always got a chance…
Worrall was injured in the first-half of Saturday’s dramatic draw with Salford City but coach Dave Kevan is confident the player will be fit for selection.
Keven told a press conference: “Dave took a really bad knock on his nose there. To be honest he took a number of knocks throughout the game, so I would imagine he will be a bit sore this morning. But fair play to him he didn’t want to come off that pitch no matter how many knocks he took. So, if we have eleven like that we have always got a chance.
“He seemed very positive after the game. I feel it is just a case of seeing the doctor and taking it from there.”
