Former Notts County player Will Patching on trial with Port Vale
Port Vale manager John Askey has confirmed that former Notts County player Will Patching is on trial with the club.
Patching was released by County at the start of the season and is looking for a new club.
He has only been in one day but he trained very well yesterday so we will take it from there…
Askey told the media: “Will started his career at Manchester City and is a very promising young player. For whatever reason it didn’t work out for him at Notts County and he is one that popped up on the radar. He is allowed to have a look at us and we are in a situation where we can have a look at him.
“He has only been in one day but he trained very well yesterday so we will take it from there.
“He is a midfielder, is very comfortable in possession, likes to join the front man and get forward. He is very creative and is 6ft so a good stature.
“So, it is an interesting one for us. We are going to have a look and see how it goes.”
