Port Vale suffer winger injury blow
Port Vale have revealed that winger Cristian Montano is a doubt for the start of the new season.
Montano was injured in Vale’s first friendly match of the summer against Kidsgrove Athletic.
Hopefully we can get him back sooner rather than later and get him to full fitness…
The club have revealed that Montano suffered a grade two tear and could be out for some weeks.
Manager John Askey commented: “Monty has got a Grade Two tear so he will probably be missing for about three weeks which is not ideal.
“Hopefully we can get him back sooner rather than later and get him to full fitness.”
Fortunately, Vale are reasonably well stocked on the flanks with David Worrall, David Amoo, Ben Whitfield and Ryan Lloyd all competing for a place in the team.
