Former skipper Antony Kay could face Port Vale on Saturday
Former Port Vale club captain Antony Kay could face his former side in a friendly on Saturday.
Kay was released earlier in the summer after a two year spell with the Valiants.
The Valiants are now set to play League One side Bury at Vale Park on Saturday.
The cash-strapped Shakers have just three contracted players and used a host of trialists in their last friendly game.
Those trialists included former Crewe duo Ben Garrett and Chris Dagnall as well as veteran Kay. Ironically, Kay left Bury to join Vale back in 2016.
Vale will need to be on their guard for long-range strikes by Kay who netted a couple of spectacular goals while in a Vale shirt.
