Amoo hits goal number two as Vale win third friendly
David Amoo scored his second goal in Vale colours as they defeated League One Fleetwood in a friendly.
Manny Oyeleke and Kieran Kennedy were both missing from the Port Vale line-up as was trialist Shaun Cummings. However, Vale did include two trialists in Rhys Browne and goalkeeper Jonny Maddison.
The Valiants were fortunate not to go into the break a goal down after Fleetwood rattled the post in the opening stages and Vale were also dealt a blow when Ryan Lloyd picked up an injury was replaced by trialist Rhys Browne early on.
However, Vale went ahead in the second period when recent signing David Amoo made it two in two with a superb strike on 57 minutes.
The Valiants made a string of changes but they held on to record a clean sheet.
