Taking part in training at Westport Lake is youngster Ryan Lloyd, part of Micky Adams’ Vale squad. The Valiants were to secure an unlikely promotion that season. Lloyd was still a young player at the time but still managed to make seven appearances for the side, including one in the final game at Wycombe Wanderers. Loyd was released in 2017 but after a successful spell at Macclesfield Town, he returned to the Valiants in 2019.
