New forum software coming soon to the onevalefan website
The onevalefan website will soon be moving to improved forum software thanks to the generosity of its members.
Rob Fielding, editor of the site explains: “The software we are using, VBulletin, is really badly outdated nowadays. Support is poor, the interface is clunky and it’s really difficult to keep it operating.”
I hope the new improved interface will be in place well before the start of the new season and it will help our fantastic members to continue to enjoy the site…
Rob was pondering a change for some time but when he mentioned it on the forum, users quickly donated to help meet the costs of the new InVision software. Fielding added: “The response has been amazing. It’s touching to see how much OVF means to users.
“I’ve had some really generous individual donations but I’m grateful to everyone who has contributed any amount to this much needed upgrade.
“I’ve now got enough money donated that I can proceed with a professional installation by InVision staff, something that will save me time and help prevent any errors.
“I hope the new improved interface will be in place well before the start of the new season and it will help our fantastic members to continue to enjoy the site.”
More information on when the upgrade will take place will be announced soon.
