Former Port Vale midfielder signs three year deal with League Two rivals
In a surprising move, Port Vale’s League Two rivals Crawley Town have snapped up former Port Vale midfielder Nathan Ferguson.
Ferguson’s time at Vale Park
Young midfielder Nathan Ferguson was signed from Burton Albion in 2016 on a one-year contract with the option for a further year.
He made his debut as a sub in the Football League Trophy clash with Derby County B in August and was subsequently loaned to Southport for a month in October.
However, after just the one senior appearance for the Valiants, he left the club by mutual consent in January 2017.
He subsequently joined Bromley for the remainder of the season.
BBC Sport reports that Crawley Town have signed midfielder Nathan Ferguson on a three-year deal from non-league Dulwich Hamlet.
A regular for Dulwich, he scored 11 goals in 80 appearances and can also operate as an out-and-out striker.
