Report: Port Vale fend off interest from rival club as David Worrall agrees new deal
The Sentinel has reported that Port Vale winger David Worrall has agreed a new contract with the club.
Manager John Askey says Vale fought off competition from another club to re-sign the 28 year-old. Worrall was a stand-out performer in the second-half of the season after being left out of the side by previous manager Neil Aspin.

Current Port Vale manager John Askey told the newspaper: “David has re-signed which is obviously pleasing. He did well for me. Again, he has a good attitude and works hard. I don’t think we have seen the best of him at Port Vale yet so it is a good one for us.”
“David is happy. He could have gone to another club but it would have meant him moving.
“I think the main thing for David is he is happy and his family will be happy.
“He has enjoyed his time at Port Vale, especially in the last two or three months.”
