Port Vale manager John Askey has praised winger David Worrall after his first goal of the season helped down Northampton Town.
Worrall drifted out of first-team contention under former manager Neil Aspin but has become a regular under the tutelage of John Askey.
Worrall’s recent displays have been influential and his breakaway goal on Saturday was arguably instrumental in Vale’s away win.
After the game, Askey told the media: “I thought he and Mitchell did really well down the right-hand side and they are getting a good combination.
“His work rate and all round play was fantastic and getting that goal will give him a little bit more confidence. He looks a different player. I just hope it continues now because he is an honest player and a good pro.”
