Port Vale winger says result was two points dropped
David Worrall says that despite a good performance, the Vale players are “disappointed” not to get all three points against Notts County.
In a game billed as one of the most important in years, Vale had a host of chances but it ended in a goalless draw against the bottom-placed team.
It was a great performance but it’s two points dropped…
After the match Worrall told the official Port Vale website: “We’re disappointed we couldn’t get all three points. From minute one we were on the front-foot; we created a lot of better chances. It’s the most crosses we’ve got into the box for a long time!
“We won every second ball that we could. Defenders won every header. Popey had chance after chance – it was a great performance but it’s two points dropped.
“We’re disappointed but it’s something to build on along with the clean sheet.”
