Port Vale relegation rivals are in danger of entering administration
Notts County, Port Vale’s next opponents and relegation rivals could potentially suffer a hammer blow after their owner’s company was confirmed as being in administration.
Controversial County owner Alan Hardy purchased the club with the help of a reported £7m loan from his company Paragon Group Ltd.
However, it was formally confirmed on Thursday that Paragon has gone into administration.
The process could mean that administrators for Paragon take measures to recall the £7m loan to County which in turn could force the football club into administration.
If County do go into administration any points deduction would almost certainly seal their relegation to the National League.
However, Hardy has suggested that a takeover of the club could be imminent – a move which may allow County to stave off the administration threat.
