I have supported Port Vale since 1968. I stopped going to matches a few years ago through ill health. I listen on the radio, and on Final Score on BBC. I have watched some cracking Port Vale teams down the years, and witnessed probably one of Port Vale:s best performances when they beat Derby County in a cup match at the Baseball Ground in the 1989/1990 season. Vale beat Derby 3/1, and were brilliant. So back to todays side. I think the Vale lack consistancy in not being able to field an experienced settled side, coupled with the situation of not having a manager, who has been at the club, for more than one season. I know that Vale fans want to see entertaining football, but now is the time to grind out results, the same way that Morecambe did today. If, at the end of the season, Port Vale go down to the Confrence, then life will be harder, than EFL2. Many of the sides in the Confrence are better than the sides in EFL2. I wish Vale all the best, but i fear the worst.
