Port Vale midfielder Mike Calveley will remain on loan at Nuneaton Borough for the remainder of the season.
Fellow Nuneaton loanee Dior Angus has returned to Vale to fight for a first-team place but Calveley will remain with the National League North side.
A statement on the Nuneaton website said:
Nuneaton Borough are delighted to confirm that Mike Calveley has extended his loan deal, from Port Vale, until the end of the season.
The versatile teenager has been, virtually, ever-present for the Boro’ this season and scored his first goal for the Club with an injury time strike away to AFC Telford United on Boxing Day.
“I’m really pleased to have got this deal over the line” said Manager Jimmy Ginnelly “it looked like he was headed back to Port Vale, but I’d like to thank Norman Smurthwaite for making this loan deal go through today. I’d like to think we can help Mike develop further as a player over the next four months. He’s a very good young, up and coming, player and it’s great that the Boro’ Faithful will get to see him grow.”
