Cheltenham Town manager Michael Duff has told the media that Port Vale striker Tyrone Barnett has extended his loan spell with the Robins.
Barnett was signed by former manager Michael Brown in 2017. However, he was transfer-listed in the summer and was subsequently allowed to join Cheltenham on loan until the New Year.
However, the Cheltenham Town manager told the local media in a press conference that: “His contract has been extended, so he’ll be here until the end of the season.”
The news has yet to be formally confirmed by the Valiants but is not unexpected with Barnett unwanted at Vale Park and having done well during his spell with the Robins.
Barnett is out of contract in the summer so it is now likely that he has played his last game for the club. He made 28 appearances scoring twice last season.
