Port Vale have confirmed that West Brom central defender Kyle Howkins has rejoined on a second loan spell.
The move was widely expected to go through despite the departure of manager Neil Aspin.
A statement said:
Port Vale are delighted to announce the signing of Kyle Howkins from West Bromwich Albion on loan until the end of the season.
Identical to last season, Kyle arrives at the club on transfer deadline day and is available for selection for tomorrow’s home fixture against Tranmere Rovers weather permitting.
Match fit and eager to get back out playing in a Vale shirt, the young defender says he’s delighted to be back at Vale Park.
“I’m very happy, I need to come out and play games so I’m back now and ready to go again, it’s good to come in this morning see the lads but I don’t think they expected to see me!
“It was nice to turn up and see them all and I can’t wait to get started. I had a good run of games last year, obviously missed a couple through my knee but I managed to keep up a good consistency at a high level and I’m looking to do that again this season.”
