Port Vale loanee makes surprise Aston Villa return in U23 game against Stoke City
Port Vale loanee Mitch Clark made a surprise appearance for the Aston Villa U23 side as he continued his recovery from injury.
The popular loan signing has missed several weeks through a hamstring injury and had returned to his parent club for treatment.
However, Clark is also eligible to play for Villa’s junior ranks and was included in an Aston Villa U23 side to face Stoke City.
Ironically, injury had prevented Clark facing Stoke’s U23 in the Checkatrade Trophy earlier this season.
Tonight's team news for our U23s as we face @StokeCity here at Marston Road, kick-off 7pm
It's a huge welcome back to @KeinanDavis_, who's been out of action for a prolonged spell with a hip injury. 😊🙌❤️️#PartOfThePride #AVFC pic.twitter.com/yUKpdtxPrB
