Port Vale boss says team must start better in front of big crowd
Port Vale manager Neil Aspin says his side must get off to a good start in their Checkatrade Trophy clash on Tuesday evening.
The Valiants take on Stoke City U21 with the crowd expected to be at least 7,000 – making it one of the biggest crowds of the season.
The players have to go out and perform… They have to make sure they start better…
Aspin is aware of the side’s slow start for the FA Cup game against Sunderland – which also saw a large crowd and he told the media: “The players have to go out and perform. They didn’t perform in the first 20 minutes against Sunderland which was a similar occasion in terms of crowd and a big game. They have to make sure they start better.”
