Managers disagree after Port Vale and Cheltenham draw
Port Vale manager Neil Aspin said a draw was “probably a fair result” but Cheltenham boss Michael Duff said his side “footballed” Vale off the park.
The two sides played out a draw on Saturday after Vale snatched a point with a late equaliser. Here are the views of the two managers.

I thought we deserved to win the game and I thought our goal in the 89th minute was a just goal. Their goalie got man of the match, we created numerous chances and hurt them in every different way possible… We have come to a team, it’s absolutely blowing a gale and the pitch is horrible and we’ve absolutely footballed them off the park…

We didn’t play at our best. There’s lots of things we could’ve done better – I thought, certainly defensively, we gave them too many chances and I thought we could’ve done better for both of the goals. It was an improvement on last week but that wouldn’t be difficult because we were so poor. There was some pleasing aspects today but I try and be as honest as I can and at the end of the day, a draw was probably a fair result…
