Port Vale field youngest-ever player as striker scores first goal for club
It was an evening for landmarks as Port Vale took on Walsall on Tuesday evening with Scott Quigley (pictured) and Nelson Agho taking the plaudits.
15 year-old Agho was included in the matchday squad and came on as a late sub to become the youngest-ever player to appear for the Valiants first-team.
The youngster, originally from Valencia, has reportedly attracted Premier League interest.
Vale won 2-1 thanks to an opening goal from Blackpool loanee Scott Quigley – his first for the club in his seventh appearance for the club.
The other goal came from veteran Danny Pugh – his third in Vale colours.
The Valiants reached the knock-out stages of the competition thanks to the win which saw them top their qualifying group.
