Port Vale defender moves out on loan to York City
Transfer-listed Port Vale defender Joe Davis has moved to York City on loan.
24 year-old Davis was a product of the Vale youth academy progressing to the first-team in 2011 but he left the club in 2014 to join Leciester City. He re-joined the club in the summer of 2017 and was a fairly regular pick during the 2017-18 campaign.
However, he was one of three players to be transfer-listed in the summer and has yet to make a senior appearance this season. The two other transfer-listed players – Rob Lainton and Tyrone Barnett – are also out on loan.
Former Football League club York are now in the National League North competition.
A club statement said:
The club can confirm that defender Joe Davis has joined York City on a short term loan.
We would like to wish Joe the best of luck on his loan spell.
