Prediction panel: how will Port Vale fare against Stevenage?
Our prediction panel feature returns. Each week father and son duo Rob and Fred will pit their wits against a succession of OVF forum regulars.
About the predictors
Rob founded OVF over twenty years ago and updates the blog on this site. Rob says he is an “absolutely hopeless” predictor. His son Fred is 13 and has been going to see Vale for a few years now. He says that he hopes to “humiliate my dad as per usual.”
Rob
Stevenage 0-0 Port Vale
It’s so difficult to predict which Vale will turn up. The one which conceded six to Lincoln or the one that held firm to defeat Oldham. With that in mind I’m going for a goalless draw mainly because with all the inconsistency it’s the one result we haven’t had for a while!
Fred
Stevenage 0-1 Port Vale
I’m going to be the optimistic one and I think Vale will carry on their winning ways with a performance very similar to the Oldham game. Let’s hope so.
This week the duo take on For Us All. Here are their thoughts on the game…
For Us All
About me: I have been a Vale fan since 1960 when I attended my first match and saw us beat Chesterfield 7-1 at Vale Park. I have been a member of OVF since May 2009.
My score: Stevenage 1-1 Port Vale
How the game will unfold: I’ll go for a 1-1 draw with Vale fielding the same side as we did against Oldham.
