Record #2: Port Vale’s unbeaten opening streak continues
According to reports, Port Vale now have the best record in the opening day of the season for any club in the top four divisions of the English game.
The Valiants have now been undefeated in their opening league match since the 2005/6 season.
The only blemish was the 2012 defeat to Burnley but that was in the League Cup rather than a league fixture.
Vale’s fourteen game league run is now apparently the longest of all 92 clubs.
