Port Vale could make transfer bid for striker
Port Vale owner Norman Smurthwaite has told the Sentinel that the club could make a bid for a forward before the transfer window shuts.
Vale have Tom Pope, Louis Dodds, Ricky Miller, Idris Kanu, Scott Quigley, Dan Turner and Dior Angus as players who can play upfront although the last two are out on loan.
The newspaper says Vale are looking at a loan or a permanent deal for a forward.
Smurthwaite told the newspaper: “We are still looking at two options, one of which would be paying a fee for a player. That decision has to be taken by August 9.”
