Former Valiants: midfielder moves to Torquay United
Former Port Vale midfielder Chris Regis has signed a contract with Conference South outfit Torquay United.
Regis joined the Valiants in November 2017 and made an immediate impact by scoring minutes into his debut. But he was criticised for his attitude by manager Neil Aspin and was not involved in the majority of last season.
He was released in the summer and has now signed a deal with Torquay.
On joining the club Regis said: “I was at Port Vale before the season started and it was good there, but I wasn’t getting enough games. I needed to go to somewhere I would play and to get more games under my belt.
“I got called by the manager and he has big plans for this club and I really wanted to get involved in them. I’m here for promotion, and because they play good football here. Two reasons why I thought I would come down.”
