Ricky Miller unable to play for Port Vale until FA hearing
The Sentinel newspaper has revealed that Port Vale’s new striker cannot play for the club at the moment.
The newspaper says it relates to an incident last season and the FA have told the club he cannot play until the incident is resolved.
Manager Neil Aspin revealed he and the club were aware of the situation when they signed the player from Peterborough in June.
We have been told from the FA at the moment that he can’t play in any pre-season games…
The disciplinary issue is believed to relate to an incident last season but Aspin won’t comment on the specifics.
He told The Sentinel: “We have been told from the FA at the moment that he can’t play in any pre-season games.
“Really it is waiting for them to give us an update when he can. Basically that’s it.
“I know what it is about and I was aware when we signed him that this was the case. But we are still hopeful that he maybe could take part in a pre-season game, but at the moment he can’t.”
