Port Vale take Blackpool striker Scott Quigley on loan
Port Vale sign Scott Quigley: Valiants have agreed to sign the Blackpool striker on a season-long loan.
Quigley is Port Vale’s fourth new striker to be signed this summer following the club’s earlier moves for Louis Dodds, Ricky Miller and Idris Kanu.
A statement on the official Blackpool FC website confirmed the move commenting:
Scott Quigley has joined Sky Bet League Two side Port Vale on a season-long loan.
The forward, who has made 14 appearances for the first-team, spent the second half of last season on loan at Vanarama National League club Wrexham, where he scored eight times in 17 matches.
The 25-year-old will now look for more regular game time with The Valiants.
So, who is Scott Quigley?
The Shrewsbury-born forward started his football career at the New Saints, making a number of loan moves before breaking into the TNS first-team.
The 25-year-old won every major Welsh honour during his time with the Saints and netted eight goals in eighteen games during the 2016-17 season.
In 2017 he signed for Blackpool for a fee of £35,000 agreeing a two-year deal with the side.
He made fourteen appearances for Blackpool but also had a productive loan spell at Wrexham where he netted eight goals in fifteen games.
