FA decision on Ricky Miller will be made on 25th July
Port Vale manager Neil Aspin has revealed that the FA decision on Ricky Miller’s eligibility to play will be made on Wednesday 25th July.
Miller signed for the Valiants earlier this summer but has been unable to play until the FA reach a decision on a disciplinary matter which occurred while he was a Peterborough United player.
Aspin told the Sentinel newspaper: “We will get a decision next week, on Wednesday, as to when he can play football.
“He is desperate to play football. You see in training he is chomping at the bit, he wants to play and he wants to score goals but at the moment we can’t do anything. But hopefully we will all know what the situation is on Wednesday.
“We knew the situation when he signed, so it is not something that has been thrust upon us. It is frustrating but I am pleased with the way he is training and he is desperate to play.”
The timing of the decision means Miller will sit out Vale’s friendlies against Shrewsbury (Saturday) and Wolves (Tuesday) but if he is cleared he could face Shrewsbury Town (28th July) and Newcastle Town (29th July).
