Dior Angus: my aim is to show I can be on the team sheet in August
Dior Angus scored Port Vale’s first goal of the summer friendly campaign and has set his sights on impressing manager Neil Aspin.
Angus was playing in a friendly against his former club Redditch – which had been arranged as part of the deal which took the striker to Vale Park.
My aim now is just to get as fit as possible, keep training hard and hopefully get some good performances under my belt to show the gaffer I can be on the team sheet come August…
Angus scored from the spot and he told the official Port Vale website: “It’s great to score really, but it was good to be back and to see the club moving forward with a new manager is great.
“I had to step up and take the penalty to put one away. I’ve scored a few in that goal before, so I thought it would be nice to stick one away again.”
He added: “My aim now is just to get as fit as possible, keep training hard and hopefully get some good performances under my belt to show the gaffer I can be on the team sheet come August.”
