Port Vale agree League One loan deal but it won’t be Ricky Miller
Port Vale owner Norman Smurthwaite has told the Sentinel that the club have agreed a loan deal for a striker.
Smurthwaite told the newspaper: “We have agreed a loan signing with a League One club. That will be announced in due course.”
However, he disclosed it won’t be Peterborough striker Ricky Miller who was linked with Vale in January. He added: “I am not aware that we as a club have any interest in him.”
Smurthwaite also disclosed that the club had failed in a bid for a League Two striker saying: “There was a kid that we were going to sign – a striker but I think Neil has given up and is going elsewhere now.
“Neil is pursuing another striker from another club. But he is dealing with the club directly, I am not involved with that one.”
